So who are the folks who run the SPM? Let's take a look behind the copper cutain to uncover the coin-collecting curators:

Christine is a museum professional whose day job dosen't normally entail squished pennies. She loves jogging, reading (about all sorts of things, not just pennies) and knitting. Soon after contracting a case of copper fever in New York City, Christine began the SPM as a display on the livingroom mantel. Since then she has spent many hours collecting and cataloging the ever-growing contents of the museum. E-mail her.

Pete is a graphic designer who works on a weekly newspaper. He enjoys playing soccer with the docents (the museum's two cats), drooling over Airstream trailers, painting portraits of Bob Ross, and collecting tiki mugs. He began collecting squished pennies on a trip to Germany with Christine. Pete was so enamored with the squishing machine that he had to borrow money for the subway trip back to the hotel, having squished every last cent he had. E-mail him.

Pete and Christine both love to travel to look at buildings and pennies. They are also both spending every waking (and some semi-conscious) moment restoring the big old house where the museum lives.
